It’s 2023, and as usual, the hotel industry is moving forward with full speed and gusto. It won’t be long before traditional methods have become obsolete and technology takes over.
Here are five trends that we foresee in 2023:
Rooms are getting smarter
Once upon a time, controlling your entire hotel room from your smart phone was mere fiction. Now it has become a reality. Several hotels are implementing smart technology in their hotel rooms and creating apps through which guests can operate the functions of their room, order room service in advance, watch their latest Netflix series on TV screens and much more. The possibilities are endless and we are excited to see how this will progress!
Mobile is the way forward – for real
Have you ever experienced the same old nightmare – going into a hotel room and not finding a universal adapter – rendering you unable to charge your mobile device? We have. Far too many times.
It’s time for hoteliers to realize that guests are not going anywhere without their mobile phones. USB sockets for charging cables, or universal adapters and outlets should be standard practice by now.
This is especially important now, with traveler’s using predictive apps to get suggestions on their trips and itineraries.
Chatbots and conversational marketing
We have already spoken about the importance of Chatbots before, but we want to emphasize it again. Chatbots that use Artificial Intelligence will be at the pinnacle for hotel marketing for the years to come. Chatbots make customers feel that they are being personally attended too and that their queries are being looked after.
To conclude, this could be a lot to take in initially, but as time goes on these trends will become the norm. It is important that you do not fall behind and stay up-to-date with the latest trends.
